About
Scott Bowling, Trusted SR Solutions
I am Scott Bowling, an independent Medicare broker based in Round Rock, Texas. I am appointed with 24 insurance carriers, including nine Medicare Advantage carriers, and I am licensed in Texas, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Florida, Arizona, Colorado, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.
You will talk to me. Not a call center, not a rotating queue of agents, and not someone reading a script in another state. When you call back in March because a claim was denied, I am the person who answers.
Who do you actually work for?
You. I am an independent broker, which means I am not employed by any insurance company and I am not paid more by one carrier than another for the same type of plan. Carriers pay my commission when you enroll, so my service costs you nothing and your premium is the same whether you use me or sign up on your own.
I do not push Medicare Advantage over Medicare Supplement, or the reverse. Those are two different approaches with real tradeoffs. Advantage plans usually cost less each month and bundle extras, but you work inside a network and you carry copays. Supplement plans cost more each month and cap what you can be billed. Which one is right depends on your doctors, your prescriptions, your travel, and how much financial surprise you can absorb.
How many carriers do you represent in my ZIP code?
That depends on your ZIP code, and I will pull the actual list while we are on the phone rather than guess.
My Medicare Advantage appointments include Aetna, Anthem, Devoted Health, HealthSpring, Humana, Prominence Health, UnitedHealthcare, Wellcare, and Wellpoint. Not every one of those operates in every county, which is why the honest answer is a live lookup instead of a number on a web page.
For Medicare Supplement I am appointed with Allstate, Guarantee Trust Life, HealthSpring, Humana, Mutual of Omaha, and UnitedHealthcare. I can write Part D as a standalone drug plan or as part of a Medicare Advantage plan, depending on which structure fits you.
Will you check my doctors and my prescriptions?
Yes, before I recommend anything. Bring your list of doctors, specialists, preferred hospital, pharmacy, and every prescription you take with the dosage. I check each drug against the plan formulary and each provider against the plan network.
This is the step most people skip, and it is the step that causes the January phone calls. A plan with a low premium is not a good plan if your cardiologist is out of network or your maintenance drug sits on a tier you cannot afford.
Will you review my plan every year?
Yes. Plans change every year, and the plan that fit you in 2026 may not fit you in 2027. Carriers adjust networks, formularies, copays, and extra benefits annually, and those changes arrive in your Annual Notice of Change each September.
When yours arrives, call me. We will go through what changed, and if nothing meaningful changed, I will tell you to keep what you have. A review that ends in "do nothing" is a good review.
What happens if there is a problem after I enroll?
You call me at 512-844-3983 and I work it. Billing errors, denied claims, a pharmacy telling you a drug is not covered, a provider who says they no longer take your plan. Enrollment is the beginning of the relationship, not the end of it.
What else can you help with besides Medicare?
Hospital indemnity coverage, which pairs naturally with a low-premium Advantage plan and helps cover the hospital days your copays leave exposed. Final expense life insurance. Dental, vision, and hearing plans. Fixed annuities for retirement income and principal protection.
Those product lines are why I hold 24 carrier appointments rather than nine. Most of my clients start with Medicare and come back later for something else.
Where do you work?
I am based in Round Rock and serve Williamson and Travis County in person, including Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Hutto, Leander, Taylor, and Austin.
Outside Central Texas I work by phone and video with clients in Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Florida, Arizona, Colorado, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. Clients who move between states are a large part of my practice, and holding licenses in multiple states means a move does not mean starting over with a new agent.
